Hello world!
First post on getting the blog running with Jekyll and GitHub Pages, plus the rough edges around theme setup and a custom domain.

We don’t need no water, let the motherfucker burn
Burn, motherfucker, burn”

Let’s start with the good news: the blog is finally up.
I spent the whole day getting Jekyll working. As it turns out, there isn’t a decent human guide for configuring the generator, let alone the theme. Then in the evening, instead of watching Netflix, I ended up in a long side quest trying to hook up my custom domain to GitHub Pages. Yes, I still don’t have a wildcard SSL certificate.
Still, the blog works now. We’ll see how long I keep it going.
